Applications are being accepted for the June Caskey Memorial Scholarship. June Caskey was a member of the Hamilton-Halton branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association for almost 70 years. She was an outstanding teacher and music educator, who devoted her life to advancing music education and appreciation in the community. June was also in the first graduating class of the McMaster University Bachelor of Music programme.
Her colleagues in the Hamilton-Halton branch of ORMTA will be awarding a scholarship for the next several years to a student of a Hamilton-Halton ORMTA member teacher who plans to study music at the university level, be it performance, music therapy, music education or some related field.
Eligible Candidates: Must be a student of a Hamilton/Halton Branch member who has been accepted to a University/College music program and plan to begin their studies this fall.
